Masters (FMP born in 1994 or before; MMP born in 1991 or before) : Mixed, Open, Women
Grand Masters (FMP born in 1987 or before; MMP born in 1984 or before): Mixed, Open, Women
Great Grand Masters (FMP born in 1979 or before; MMP born in 1976 or before): Open
In general, EUF are happy to give all the divisions a place to compete. Our minimum number of teams required to create a separate division is four. For Example: There are 4 teams in the GM-Women division and 2 Teams in the GGM-Women division. These two divisions will be combined so that 6 teams will play against each other.
EUF Master’s Strategy
The EUF strategy for the development of the Masters divisions foresees a yearly championship in these classes. In 2024, 2026, 2027, and 2028, there will be Masters Club Championships, while national teams will be in 2025, 2029, and so on.
Considering that these divisions are still in the development stage and that few countries have regular championships or stable masters teams, we kindly ask the member federations to support the creation and development of masters teams by loosening the eligibility criteria normally in place for Mixed/Women/Open clubs participating in the EUCS.
At the moment, it is not planned to restrict the number of teams a nation is allowed to send in each division. However, if the total number exceeds the venue's maximum capacity, there will be a need to cap it at some point. EUF will keep teams updated about that.
