Ultimate for Schools and Teachers
“Working with UK Ultimate has been wonderful. The session was one of the best all year. The level of skill and differentiation was just right for all participants to progress and achieve, whilst also developing appropriate ideas to take into school. It was a breath of fresh air to explore another invasion game to develop in upper KS2.”
Julie Pearson, HEA Senior Fellow and Senior Lecturer - Primary Physical Education, Institute of Education, St Mary's University
Teacher Training - UKU Foundation Award
Ultimate is a fantastic option for schools. Children learn new skills, boys and girls play together and the players referee the game themselves using Spirit of the Game.
Having a bag of discs in your sports equipment cupboard can help engage children put-off by traditional sports, broaden opportunities and develop a wider range of skills for all.
This course is suitable for teachers, trainee teachers, PE specialists, senior leadership, teaching assistants, SGOs ..etc, working with Key Stage 2 and upwards. Ultimate has a number of cross-curricular possibilities, from learning about the physics of flight to developing literacy, numeracy and social skills through the process of self-officiating and Spirit of the Game. We are happy to run combined sessions for teachers and young leaders (see more information below) if you are struggling for numbers or see benefits of running a session for both groups together. Please get in touch to discuss your group’s needs.
