European Ultimate Championship GB Squad Player Applications Are Open

We’re pleased to invite applications from players wishing to represent GB/UK Ultimate (Open, Mixed and Women’s) at EUC 2023. The trial process will comprise 3 phases: application, pre-selection (Stage 1 trials), main selection (Stage 2 trials).

In the first step, players are invited to apply to attend pre-selections, rather than to one particular team.  Pre-selections will be held in November 2022 and will be split into single gender-matching sessions. Successful trialists will be invited to the main selection in January 2023, from which squads for each division will be selected. Final team selection will follow, in a process and timeline set out by the squad managers.

Eligibility for trials

We acknowledge that the transgender policies of EUF and WFDF may restrict players’ eligibility at EUC (organised by EUF) and/or WUGC (organised by WFDF). GB trials and training will operate in accordance with the UKU transgender policy, and players are welcome to apply, trial, and if successful, train, in the divison (or gender role in the mixed divison) that they identify with. However, given the complexities presented by differing policies, we welcome the opportunity to discuss further with any players for whom these policies might restrict eligibility. If you would like to discuss your eligibility please contact georgie.davin@ukultimate.com
