International Women’s Day 2023 #EmbraceEquity
Happy International Women’s Day! The IWD 2023 theme is #EmbraceEquity. “Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity. Celebrate women's achievement. Raise awareness about discrimination. Take action to drive gender parity.”
A message from the UKU Women’s Committee:
IWD is for everyone. Everyone has a responsibility to #EmbraceEquity. We spend a lot of time talking about things that would make a difference but we can’t make them happen alone - we need the community to get involved in whatever capacity to see change. We believe that many small actions, decisions and choices will make a big difference!

What will you do?
We have written a non-exhaustive list of ideas to help you do something, big or small, to help #EmbraceEquity and continue to promote Ultimate as a sport that can push the movement towards gender parity. We’ve come up with 52 ideas, one for each week between now and IWD 2024! We’re really excited about what could happen if everyone does one thing from this list.
