Outdoor Club Season April Update - Confirmed Events and Entries Open
Confirmed Events
Updated re 14-15 May (Manchester & Women’s Hat Oxford), YDG 9-10 July and Beach Nationals 10-11 Sept.
Further to our previous announcement regarding the club outdoor season we now have more confirmed details for planned tournaments. In addition to the previously confirmed events we can also announce the following:
Manchester in May (Open & Women’s) - Tier Two - 14-15 May - Entry open now
Grey Towers of Durham (Mixed) - Tier Two - 18-19 June - Entry open now
London Moooxed (Mixed) - Tier Two - 18-19 June - Entry open now
We are also currently taking entries for the following events:
Nottingham Windfarm (Open & Women’s) - Tier One* - 28-29 May - Entry Deadline gone - first come first served
Southampton YDG (Mixed) - Tier One* - 9-10 July - Entry deadline has passed - first come first served on remaining spots
These ranking events are open to all teams. We hope to have sufficient capacity for all teams who want to play at the Tier One events, however there is limited capacity at the Tier Two events.
Other Club Events
Sadly, the Open & Women’s events that we hoped to run on 23-24 April didn’t work out, but there is a Tartan Tour event happening in Edinburgh - and they have space for more teams.
14-15 May (OWX): In addition to the Women’s and Open division events in Manchester, there will be a Women’s Hat in Oxford. We had hoped we might get an Open division event in Edenbridge on this weekend, but that will not happen.
23-24 July (OW): We have a confirmed event in Reading (more details will be published soon) and are hopeful of adding a second event that weekend in Cambridge. There is a planned Tartan Tour mixed division event (Caledonia’s Call) on this weekend - venue to be confirmed.
13-14 August (OWX): Regional Playoffs - open to all teams. Northern Regionals will take place at Wythenshawe Sports Ground, and we hope to finalise and announce the Southern Regionals venue in the coming days. This date is now confirmed, and teams are reminded that this is the ONLY way to qualify for UKU Nationals in 2022.
3-4 Sept (OWX): Nationals / EUCR-West (Highfields, Nottingham). This date is confirmed now.
10-11 Sept (OWX): UKU Beach Nationals is planned for Sandbanks, Poole on the 10-11 Sept - but we’re waiting for final confirmation on paperwork.

*What does Tier One and Tier Two mean:
Tier One events are either larger-scale and aim to accommodate everyone, or, where places are limited, bids are assigned primarily by strength (accepting that this will be difficult in 2022 due to the lack of ranking data) but are open to all teams to enter.
Tier Two events are smaller and designed to be more local in nature. If they are over subscribed closer teams will be given priority. These are also open to teams of any level.
