UKU Beach Nationals This Weekend is Cancelled

Following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, UKU Beach Nationals this weekend is cancelled and will not take place on 10-11 September.

Beach Nationals 2022 - like all of our beach events and GB training in the area around Sandbanks - rely on our partnerships with the Bournemouth University  and Poole Council, and we respect the decision to cancel the event this weekend.

We are aware of the official announcements (e.g. from Sport England - https://www.sportengland.org/news/her-majesty-queen-elizabeth-ii) confirming that such events can go ahead at the discretion of the organisers, but note also that some sports and event organisers are making the decision to postpone or cancel activities today and this weekend.

We will be looking into options for rescheduling in the coming weeks, but we do not expect to be able to provide any updates on this until the middle of next week (14th) at the earliest.  If the event can be rescheduled, any team that does not want to attend will, of course, be offered a full refund.  We apologise again to all the players and teams who have unrecoverable costs.
