UKU Regionals (13-14 August): Confirmed teams
The deadline for entries has now closed for North and South Regionals on August 13-14. Confirmed teams entered for the Mixed and Open divisions in each region are listed below.
Unfortunately we did not have sufficient entries in the Women’s division to hold a qualification event and as such the teams listed below will qualify straight to UKU Nationals on 3-4 September. The process and deadline for confirming your place at Nationals will follow soon, but in the meantime please get in touch urgently by emailing events@ukultimate.com if you do not want your place.
Seeding & Format in the Women’s Division at UKU Nationals / EUCR-W:
In the absence of a 2022 qualification event, we need an alternative method for seeding teams.
Given that six of the nine teams are attending WUCC, we intend to use the relative finishing positions at WUCC to seed those teams. Please note, this leaves a few teams, potentially including others that may yet enter, that will be seeded according to other criteria, as follows:
LMU will be randomly drawn as the 3rd or 4th UK team.
The remaining UK teams will be seeded by random draw.
If additional Irish teams enter:
The next ranked Irish team (IRL2) will be paired with the lowest seeded WUCC team, with those two teams being drawn randomly as 7th and 8th seeds.
IRL3 will be placed in the pot with the remaining teams whose seeding will be drawn at random in position 9th downwards.
It is important to note that unless there is a change to the final number of teams attending UKU Nationals, there are likely to be some unavoidable compromises in the format of the Women’s division. In particular it may be necessary that some teams play four games on Saturday, and in that case we would expect those games to be shortened.
The approach outlined above is based on the assumption that the majority of the teams involved would probably prefer to qualify straight to Nationals. We will email all of the affected UK teams to check this assumption.

Bid Allocation update
So far, Irish teams have not taken their full allocation of bids. The closing date for teams not attending UK Regionals will be in July, so that the final bid allocation is known before the event.
